5. Take part in #WhatMakesSG Photography Contest to win a trip to Yellowstone National Park
Held in honour of Singapore’s 53rd National Day, National Geographic and the Ministry of Communications and Information have jointly launched a new #WhatMakesSG campaign to celebrate the passion that has been driving Singapore’s rapid progression since its founding, and explore how the city-state is taking steps to seize future possibilities in its path. The campaign includes a photography contest, a special Singapore edition National Geographic magazine, and a long-form documentary airing exclusively on National Geographic channels.
From now until 22 May, Singaporeans and Singapore residents invited to share their authentic perspectives of what makes the country an exciting place to live, work and play through the #WhatMakesSG photography contest. Entries will be judged by a panel comprising renowned international National Geographic photographer Michael Yamashita, Singaporean-born Nobel Peace Prize photographer Sim Chiyin, and representatives from MCI and National Geographic. The grand prize is an all-expense paid National Geographic Photography Expedition to Yellowstone National Park, Montana, U.S.A., an exclusive photo feature on #WhatMakesSG’s special Singapore edition National Geographic magazine and website, and a Canon DSLR camera. Four runner-ups will also be awarded Canon DSLR cameras.
