6. Celebrate your love for the negroni with Campari Negroni Week 2019
Campari, Italy’s iconic red and bittersweet apéritif, and Imbibe Magazine have allied once again for the seventh year to present Negroni Week 2019 – a worldwide, week-long celebration of the iconic and historic cocktail between 24th and 30th June 2019. This marks the fifth year of Negroni Week in Singapore, which is set to be even more special with an expected participation of over 100 bars in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the Negroni.
First created by Imbibe in 2013, Negroni Week is an international charity initiative that brings together bars, restaurants and retailers around the world to celebrate the classic crimson-red Campari cocktail over the common goal of giving back to society. The annual event has been rapidly growing year on year since, with the participation of nearly 10,000 venues across 87 countries to raise an impressive total of $585,000 for charitable causes in 2018, contributing to a total of nearly $2 million raised since the initiative begin.
Look forward to an island-wide takeover of bars by the Negroni – participating bars include Tippling Club, Caffe Fernet and The Old Man Singapore, as well as popular spots such as Tess Bar & Kitchen, Cook & Tras Social Library and Jigger & Pony.
