5. Get your tickets for the Lion City Youth Jazz Festival 2018 Finale Concert
A culmination of an annual youth-musician-focused learning and immersion programme, the Lion City Youth Jazz Festival Concert 2018 comprises five days of intensive rehearsals and workshops under the guidance of international jazz legends and prominent professional jazz musicians. These same mentors will perform at the concert with the youth-musicians selected for the learning programme alongside JassYO! (Jazz Association Singapore Youth Orchestra), led by Music Director Jeremy Monteiro, with Associate Music Director Weixiang Tan, in a lineup featuring 5-time Grammy award-winning Trumpeter and composer Randy Brecker from the United States as Chief Mentor. The concert will showcase jazz arrangements of songs and tunes from Singapore and her neighbours in the first half. The second half will pay tribute to legendary Trumpeter Miles Davis, who revolutionised jazz multiple times and was at the forefront of all its stylistic periods in his lifetime.
