What do you do when the dogs bite, when the bees sting, or when you’re feeling sad? You simply remember your favourite things of course! It all began in 1959, when the original Broadway production of The Sound of Music won six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, and remains till today one of composer-lyricist duo Rodgers and Hammerstein’s biggest success. The 1965 movie version starring Julie Andrews as Maria charmed millions of audiences worldwide, and the magic continues this year as the iconic show swoops into Singapore from now until December 3.
With some of the most memorable songs ever performed on stage (Do-Re-Mi, Edelweiss, and of course the glorious titular track The Sound of Music), it’s bound to be a wonderful night no matter how many times you’ve watched this gem of a show. Read all about it here.
