6. Revisit political and cultural icons through this art exhibition
We all know The Beatles, Obama, and Lee Kuan Yew, but how do we perceive them? How does the media influence those perceptions? French artist Gabriel Dufourcq explores those questions through his new mixed-media art exhibit, ‘Find a Word for it’, going on now until mid-January 2019 at Merci Marcel Tiong Bahru. Using over 300 newspaper title clippings and pictorial symbols, the original works are visually spectacular presentations of the influence of important figures in history. They are displayed on the cafe walls for you to ponder over as you savour Merci Marcel’s contemporary French culinary creations and craft beverages.
