From now till 26 September, pop by SPMRKT to not only savour wholesome goodies the eatery is known for, but also marvel at the series of artworks that meld the four cultural groups of Chinese, Peranakan, Indian and European together. Cheekily titled “Noodles, Rice, Spice & Potatoes,” the 13-piece exhibit showcases a visual feat of mixed media art pieces on silk-screened canvases, giving a compelling birds’-eye view of Singapore in its glorious, paradoxical diversity. Created by South Afriacan artist and textile designer Deborah McKellar, the works are all available for sale from $30.
