2. Enjoy spring blossoms and family festivities at Gardens by the Bay
If you are unable to travel out of Singapore for spring, fear not! Head on down to Gardens by the Bay to indulge in a vibrant and beautiful landscape of flora, with the Dahlia Dreams floral display. Located at the spacious and air-conditioned Flower Dome, this year’s display is inspired by the traditional Chinese garden landscape, with lovely pavilions and rotating water wheels, and a 40-metre-long archway of red lanterns that would make for that perfect CNY-themed shot!
For families and arts enthusiasts, there is the Spring Surprise to look forward to: a week filled with festive performances and cultural activities, including a specially choreographed “Carps Leaping Over The Dragon’s Gate” performance that features LED displays to tell a tale of Chinese culture and legend, and will be entertaining for both adults and children alike.
Besides that, there will be lion dance acts, as well as performances by the Singapore Chinese Orchestra and Ding Yi Music Company. Take festive photos against colourful backdrops hand-painted by community groups and the Young Men’s Christian Association (YMCA), and do some last minute CNY shopping at the Spring Street festive bazaar, offering a range of goods from souvenirs and trinkets, to handmade crafts and accessories!
