On 4-5 Nov, a tightrope will be strung across the Singapore River at Clarke Quay, where the public can watch in suspense as a performance group delivers a dazzling spectacle in mid-air.

The show, called “Crossings” by French artists Underclouds Cie, will be the headlining act for the Singapore River Festival 2016. This year, the celebration brings the theme “River Connections” to the river precinct. “Crossings” is an original production inspired by the story of the Singapore River.

Festival-goers can also enjoy other activities along the entire stretch of the river. For example, Clarke Quay will also be bustling with party jams at the Silent Disco and multi-sensory acrobatic acts at the Riverside Carnival.

Boat Quay will host the Circular Spectacular street festival, curated by local creative non-profit Hyphen, while Robertson Quay will screen popular local film 7 Letters at Quayside Cinema and host fitness workshops by the River.

Singapore River Signatures will also be featuring the 21 winning dishes picked out by our four local celebrity chefs. Some of the restaurants will be running special promotions on these dishes during the festival.

The Singapore River Festival will run from 4-5 Nov. Admission is free. More information here.
