Favourite food spots
“Wow, do you have three days to spare?” Ang jokes when we asked about her must-visit makan spots. Her favourites include prawn noodles at Old Airport Road, Tiong Bahru hawker centre’s chwee kueh, Punggol Nasi Lemak, Song Kee Fishball Noodles, ORTO at Yishun, Mellben Seafood, Pasir Panjang Food Centre and tze char at Jurong Fishery Port.

She raved, “My favourites dishes are basically what a dietician would tell you to avoid! I’m a champion for all things local. Whenever I return from overseas, I’ll da bao (take away) some hawker food.”
Irene Ang is the executive producer of My Love, Sinema. It is scheduled for release on 8 Sept.
