Gym memberships are expensive and all your ActiveSG credits have already been used up. So what’s a thrifty fitspo gonna do?
Fret not as more fitness freebies await at the Singapore Sports Hub’s National Stadium!
Whether you’re looking to run laps or a place to sightsee, the National Stadium welcomes all to its recreational abode, opened for 12 days over two periods of 12 to 18 March and 24 to 28 March.
And if you’re hoping to maximise a workout sess, the Singapore Sports Hub has planned a flurry of fitness activities, taking place within the stadium, that will leave you wheezing and gasping for air at the end.
Some fitness classes include Yoga, Cardio Blast, Bootcamp, and SuperFit.Community (Run), plus daily Experience Sports FIT-Sessions.
Aside from these intense workout sessions, the National Stadium Open House will also hold various community events over the two weekends. From ActiveSG’s Orienteering programme on 17 March, where the younger generation will be taught life skills via a navigation activity, to athletics stations for the little ones with Athletics Team Challenge on 24 March, the sprawling stadium will truly be abuzz with lots of fun and activities for families.
So with free admission begs the question: Can I still pop by the National Stadium and don’t work out? Certainly! From jaded workaholics reclining in the bleachers to an aspiring influencer striking a pose against the backdrop of the Insta-worthy recreational space, the National Stadium welcomes you too, although you’ll be confined to the upper concourse.
The National Stadium Open House will be held over two periods – between 12 to 18 March (Monday to Sunday) and 24 to 28 March (Saturday to Wednesday) – from 5pm to 10pm on weekdays, and 7am to 10pm on weekends.
