12. One Punggol Lights Up for Mid-Autumn Festival 2023
As the Mid-Autumn Festival approaches, Punggol residents can look forward to many exciting family-friendly activities this September, courtesy of One Punggol.
From now until September 10, 2023, The Plaza will host several pop-up booths for paper lantern painting, inviting families to decorate their lanterns. Children and parents can participate in these daily arts and crafts workshops at the Hub, free of charge.
But that’s not all! A total of 1,000 lanterns, lovingly painted by Punggol residents, will be artfully curated to create a colossal lantern installation. This impressive installation will be unveiled during the official Light-Up ceremony on 15 September 2023 at 6 pm. Joining Punggol residents in the festivities, Pasir Ris – Punggol Grassroots Advisers will bring interactive games, family-friendly activities like inflatable bouncy castles, and free snack giveaways for all to enjoy.
Furthermore, One Punggol will host an official Mid-Autumn Festival celebration on 29 September 2023. The festivities will feature cultural performances, lion and dragon dances, and a lantern walk for families. Once again, Pasir Ris – Punggol Grassroots Advisers will join residents in an evening of joyful merriment.
