Earth Day falls on April 22 every year, a global event and movement where we come together to do our part to protect our planet. But caring for the Earth is an everyday activity, and if you are looking for ideas do so as a community, join the following upcoming events! Many organisations are hosting events, workshops and more to raise environmental awareness ahead of Earth Day. A few have already begun! So gather your crew of green warriors, and show your love for Mother Earth with these fun events!
1. Earth Hour 2019
The world’s largest grassroots movement for the environment is back and bigger than ever this year! Held over three days from 29 to 31 March, the festival brings the community together to promote greater environmental consciousness through workshops and family-friendly activities. Admission to the event at Marina Bay Sands Event Plaza is free, so head over to enjoy the good music, food and chill vibes, while learning how to lead a more sustainable lifestyle. Savour healthy food that is good for both you and the Earth, discover the transformation of Earth’s biodiversity over time in an experiential maze, donate pre-loved clothes… there’s so many fun things to do at the festival! Don’t miss the main event – the big countdown to the collective lights-out moment at 8:30pm on 30 March!
