This is the world’s first Chatuchak Night Market outside of Thailand!
The night market will take place almost every day, for two months in 2023, from 7 February to 2 April 2023. The open-air market will open from Tuesdays to Sundays from 4.30 pm to 10.30 pm at The Grandstand South Carpark on Turf Club Road in Bukit Timah.
This time around, there will be more than 180 different vendors peddling the likes of street food, handicrafts, and antiques from Bangkok. The 20,000 square feet space will cater to around 200 seats for visitors to enjoy food and soak in the vibrant atmosphere.
CHA-CHAK THAI TEH TARIK (SATUN PROVINCE) – The Cha Chak (Thai milk tea), priced at S$4.00, comes with a tea-pulling performance. Watch the vendor in action with their awesome “teh tarik pulling” skills complete with twirls and spins that make for a fun video to post on social media. Besides the classic, they also offer Thai Green Milk Tea, Coffee, and Cocoa, all for S$4.00.
The famous Banana Roti (S$5.00) is freshly prepared on the spot using butter instead of oil, and cooked till golden brown. It will then be drizzled with a generous amount of condensed milk and cut into tiny squares which makes it easier to share.
Other hot favorites such as Mee Korat, Thai Prawn Vermicelli, E-sarn Sausage, and more can be found at the festival too!
You will be happy to know that there will be complimentary parking and free shuttle buses from Botanic Gardens, Clementi, and Toa Payoh to take you to and fro!
