Get ready for a dramatic battle between Bibimbap and Chilli Crab at Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) this June.
In collaboration with artistic talents hailing all the way from South Korea, RWS’ latest mid-year production seeks to enthral audience with its dynamic blend of music, choreography and cooking.
Singapore’s home-grown talents will also make an appearance in this wacky production – namely twin starlets: Jayley and Hayley Woo. Both will take turns to play the role of the adorable and effervescent Cutie Chef.
From beat boxing and b-boying to daring acrobatics and martial arts, the live production will feature a generous dose of madcap humour, which is set to not only entertain, but also immerse you in the ultimate theatrical experience.
A Korean And Singapore’s First
With Singapore’s multifaceted food scene and its adoration for the Korean culture, it comes with no surprise to see this production come to life.
CHEF: Bibimbap vs Chilli Crab is also the first ever collaboration between leading South Korean production company Persona Inc and RWS Singapore.
The original production presents a gastronomic battle between two teams where they will whip up a plethora of different cuisines. The show will play out on a kitchen setup before the final showdown of rival head chefs, as they display their culinary prowess to unveil their signature dishes: Bibimbap and Chilli Crab.
Audience interaction plays a key component in the theatrical performance — not only will show goers be invited on-stage to be part of the show, they also get to determine the winning team in the final culinary battle.
This element of spontaneity and unpredictability truly offers an exciting experience for all.
Expect A Local Twist
While the original musical Chef is globally revered for its action-comedy genre, CHEF: Bibimbap vs Chilli Crab at RWS will be seasoned with distinctive Singapore flavours that is set to send our local audience into peals of laughter.
To celebrate the Singapore flavour, the musical will have RWS Executive Pastry Chef Kenny Kong whetting the audience’s appetite by serving his specially created Chilli Crab Tart during the show run.
