Hurrah, the summer holidays are here! It's time to take that well-deserved break, and we don't mean just for kids and teenagers; parents, take this opportunity to hang out with the whole family. There are lots of fun family-friendly things to do around the city this June that combine playing and learning, and some of them have started already. 11. Celebrate the circle of life at Singapore Zoo and Night Safari
Before the live-action remake of Disney’s The Lion King bursts into cinemas, get to know the actual animals that star in it right here in Singapore! The Singapore Zoo and Night Safari presents a Circle of Life Festival, happening from 1 June to 31 August. Meet lions, meerkats, mandrills and spotted hyenas – the real-life counterparts of Simba (and his family), Timon, Rafiki, and Scar’s hyenas respectively. Other majestic creatures including rhinoceros and cheetahs will also be at the parks, and visitors can feed them! Several cool Lion King-themed photo opportunities are scattered around the Zoo’s Wild Africa Zone – don’t miss the chance to recreate the iconic Pride Rock moment! Packed with exciting cultural performances and fun facts about the animals, the Circle of Life festival should not be missed by lovers of wildlife and The Lion King.
