So witness it for yourself at the 11th edition of Singapore Night Festival, happening from 17 to 25 August at the Bras Basah-Bugis precinct.
It goes without saying that lights are the heart of the Night Festival. But this year, visitors can not only snap some Insta-worthy shots with 16 light installations, but also interact with many of them. Besides the visual treats, the revelry continues with 27 live performances from a diverse array of arts disciplines. Local artists take the spotlight for this boost in creativity, making the festival a great way to celebrate local arts and culture.
With a programme so packed, we’ve picked out seven highlights you won’t want to miss:
7. The Duel by Lords of Lightning
A jaw-dropping experience awaits as UK troupe Lords of Lightning graces our shores for the first time with their internationally popular shows of electricity. Art and physics collide in ways you’ve never seen before, as the Lords battle it out with white-hot lightning bolts up to five metres long, at nearly four million volts! Powered by the Tesla Coil, this one-of-a-kind performance will surely get your adrenaline pumping all through the night.
