4. Fort Canning Park

Distance: 2km

Perfect for history buffs, the Colonial History trail in Fort Canning Park takes you along the significant landmarks as well as lush gardens dating back to the colonial times and World War II. It’s a short and easy trail of just about 2km, but even experienced runners can get a good workout in, with all the elevated flights of steps. And you won’t get bored, not when you’re surrounded by exciting sights such as a huge war cannon and Singapore’s first botanical garden set up by Sir Stamford Raffles in 1822.
