With so many inventive and international cuisine options popping up around Singapore, sometimes we just want to gorge on a simple bowl or plate of traditional comfort food.
Look no further. It's the month of local food love, and here are five food festivals coming up that will shower you with good old Singapore savouries and sweets.

4. Fun food activities and nostalgic games
Timbre+ is bringing the kitchen world out into public view with Open Stoves, held on 23 and 24 Jul. Visitors can choose from a variety of gastro-fun activities, which will also involve Timbre+ chefs and food partners.
Part of Singapore Food Festival, Open Stoves will feature local dish-inspired collaborations between Timbre+ and invited chefs, a BBQ Blowout, craft beers, food demonstrations, nostalgic family games, food races, live music and more.
