1. Durian Feast at The Line Shangri-La Singapore
King of Fruit at The Line’s durian feast is available for dinner on Fridays to Sundays, from 16 July to 6 August 2021.
Expect a host of decadent desserts and savoury dishes infused with the majestic durian added to The Line’s international a la carte buffet selections. Purists who insist that the only way to enjoy durians is straight out of its husk and opened to order can opt for the all-you-can-eat fresh durian and tropical fruit buffet, with durians, opened to order.
Chefs at The Line have curated a range of dishes that highlight the creamy, sweet and ambrosial qualities of the fruit. From well-loved traditional dishes such as Roti Jala topped with durian sauce made with D-series durian and Little Swallow durians with Thai Sticky Rice and Coconut Sauce; to inventive Cheesy, Charcoal Mini Pizza featuring the bitter-sweet, complex flavours of Golden Phoenix durians, specific varieties of durians are selected to best complement each dish.
Durian aficionados can look forward to the option with free flow of premium Mao Shan Wang and Hong Xia (red prawn) durian, opened to order at the restaurant’s alfresco terrace. Tropical fruits, such as rambutan, longan and jackfruit, will add to the harvest of the season.
