As part of a recent Halloween campaign, Weekender reached out to our readers to share with us their most eerie ghost stories in a short excerpt.
From a total of about 100 submissions, we have selected 10 creepiest ones that sent chills down our spines.
“My job requires me to conduct tactical tracking in wee hours at unordinary places. One night, I was tasked to track a densely forested area. I came across one lone tombstone, covered in overgrown vines and with heavily corroded engravings. I felt a gust of wind but it was odd to have a breeze in such an area. I heard a whisper – so I quickly picked up my pace and left.”
