5. The Wellbeing Group (TWG)

Many would not have known TWG to be a Singaporean brand. Not with its swanky stores decked in shimmering gold and black and ‘atas’ (upmarket) packaging, you would have assumed this brand originated in the UK or Europe. The WellbeingGroup or more commonly known as TWG is a brand of tea established in Singapore back in 2008 by Taha Bouqdib as one of the co-founders. Within its first year of operations, the company has already sold products in upscale grocery store Dean and DeLuca in New York. While it might not be brand created by a Singaporean, the nation can be proud for the founders to have eyed the potential of this small island as the perfect place to develop a global tea distributing company.
