The wait is over – the Singapore Night Festival starts tonight! It’s going to be lit at the Bras Basah-Bugis precinct from tonight until 25 August, so get your pals and your best walking shoes ready for some dazzling nights! We previewed the light installations and picked out our favourite high-lights that will surely make your ‘gram sparkle.

9. World of WearableArt
Here’s your chance to examine up close an award-winning design by Maria Tsopanaki and Dimitri Mavinis, the British duo who’s dressed icons the likes of Lady Gaga, Black Eyed Peas and Jessie J! Their metallic Princess Niwareka is just one of the eight finalist garments from the World of WearableArt international design competition flown in and displayed at the National Design Centre. Show some local pride by striking a pose with the piece made by Singapore-based designer Galina Mihaleva – her 3D “Life Pulse” garment is a brilliant red that captures the energy of life and creation.
