The festival is a celebration of the Brazilian Carnival held annually in Brazil that marks the beginning of Lent, the forty-day period before Easter. The festival will take place on 26 February 2023, from 12pm to 2:30pm and Dempsey will be having their very own version of the carnival at CANCHITA Peruvian Cuisine.

Immersed in colourful costumes and live grill stations, with a live Brazilian Samba Batukada show at CANCHITA. Enjoy dishes by Julien Mercer from Claudine, Tim De Souza from Culina at Como Dempsey, Petrina Loh from Morsels, Bryan Soon from The Dempsey Cookhouse and Daniel and Tamara Chavez from CANCHITA.

The Carnaval is set as a Churrasqueira, also known as a Brazilian Steakhouse, where diners can enjoy a variety of Brazilian-inspired dishes, including live grill stations and a salad bar at S$168++.

Dishes that you can expect include Grilled Octopus, served with Smoked Paprika Crème Fraîche & Guajillo Vinaigrette, Moqueca Capixaba, featuring Wild Sri-Lanka Tiger Prawns, Kühlbarra Barramundi, Baby Cuttlefish served with Burnt Lime and Crostone, Beef Picanha, a Sirloin Cap Steak Grilled Brazilian Style and Matcha Hollandaise, as well as a welcome Caipirinha cocktail.

Lastly, end the meal at the Brazilian dessert station on a sweet note.

If you fancy some alcohol, the bar will also be serving Brazilian classics and inspired cocktails at S$22++ each. Options include From Brazil with Love, a concoction of Cachaca Envelhecida Tradicional with Ginger and Cointreau Orange Liqueur, and Brazilian Mojito, with homemade cane sugar, served over cracked ice with fresh spearmint.
