Sun Ray Café ticks all the right boxes when it comes to satisfying the café lover. Its relatively obscure location, tucked away at Brighton Crescent, is no deterring factor for café hoppers. In fact, it has made a name for itself as a hidden gem of a café.
First off, the pet-friendly space offers a special area for owners and their fur kids, along with a pet menu, complete with celebratory birthday cakes.
The non-pet side is no less exciting. Walls are graced by charming artwork, with a counter full of visually stunning baked goods that are bound to tempt your taste buds.
Menu-wise, the philosophy is simple and sincere. Breads are all baked in-house in small batches, ensuring their freshness and quality; all spreads are house-made as well, with the highlight being their savoury bacon jam.
What’s a café without excellent brew? At Sun Ray Café, coffee is roasted under their specialty coffee and tea arm — Parchmen and Co.
Must-tries include their espresso blend, named ‘The Aljunied’, a three-bean blend consisting of the berry flavoured Yirgacheffe, nutty Honduras and earthy Java.
Don’t leave without savouring their Charcoal Chicken Burger, the fluffy French Toast or the deliciously creamy Squid Ink Carbonara.
