Chef Piegaia presents a flurry of culinary creations from his Italian hometown

Opened in November 2012 by Executive Chef and Owner Gabriele Piegaia, Burlamacco Ristorante is a cosy and modern diner Italian diner. Bathed in earthy tones and ambient lights, the establishment beckons with its colourful Italian menu, paired with the classic Tuscan hospitality at the heart. Five years on, the restaurant still retains its friendliness and authenticity, with Chef Piegaia upping the ante with even more delectable Tuscan delights.

Hand Chopped Red Tuna Tartare Served With Avocado ‘Battuta’, $26

Another one of Burlamacco’s signature dish over the past five years, the tuna tartare dish is a gastronomic reflection of the saying ‘the devil’s in the details’, right down to the housemade dressing of lemon, Tabasco, mustard, soya and extra virgin olive oil. That extra zing breathes a flavour we can’t quite put our finger on. Not that we’re complaining, of course!
