Try the delicious oyster omelette at some of these stalls this weekend
Crispy fried egg with bits of starch, fresh oysters and garnished with cilantro leaf – the oyster omelette or orh luak is heavenly indulgence.
The chilli with lime that goes with it only serves to make it even more mouth-watering than it already is. Here are a few great stalls to try.
Ah Chuan Fried Oyster Omelette
One of the best orh luak in town. The oysters are fresh and succulent, and the dish has a great texture. Be prepared to wait at least ten minutes.
Kim Keat Palm Market and Food Centre, 22 Toa Payoh Lorong 7, #01-25, Singapore 310022
Fu Kee Fried Delights
This place serves up crispy fried batter with juicy oysters. They have another version without the starchy batter, orh neng.

Oyster Omelette Stall
If you like your orh luak very crispy, this stall – which has been around for more than 30 years – is for you.
Mee Sek Coffeeshop, 965 Upper Serangoon Road, Singapore 534721
Jackson
The batter is crispy on the outside and springy on the inside, and the oysters are fresh. Do try the dish before adding the tangy chilli.

Hup Kee Fried Oyster Omelette
Despite being located in the tourist trap of Newton Circus, Hup Kee serves great orh luak. The oysters aren’t too small and the flour to water ratio is good.
