Intercontinental Singapore has recently restarted its weekend brunch and it’s filled with heavy-weight offerings
Set under the grand sweeping ceilings of the InterContinental’s iconic hotel lobby is a new champagne brunch experience called “The Art of Sundays”.
At the heart of their new menu, crafted by Executive Chef Eric Neo, are Asian-infused specialities including Chilli Crab Linguine, handcrafted dim sum from InterContinental’s signature Cantonese restaurant Man Fu Yuan and Peranakan Tapas. Those are just the starters.
A Wide Range of Premium Classics
What’s a brunch without popular favourites? Some of the classic favourites available include pan-seared grain-fed US beef, freshly-shucked Fine de Claire, Tasmanian and Fanny Bay oysters, eggs en cocotte with caviar or “your way”, and “pot-steamed” Australian mussels in sauce à la Mirepoix, alongside appetisers and succulent seafood such as Boston lobster, Alaskan king crab, tiger prawns, mussels and scallops.
Two of my personal favourites are the delectable Foie Gras and the vast charcuterie station, which includes leg of Jamon Iberico de Bellota (aged 30 to 36 months), San Daniele ham, chorizo sausage, wagyu, beef pastrami, artisan blood sausage, air-dried salami, air-dried beef, and smoked pancetta.
Roving Mixologists
For $158++ per person, a dedicated mixologist can create bespoke cocktails according to your mood or preference.
But, if you prefer simplicity, perhaps free-flow Veuve Clicquot Brut Yellow Label Magnum Champagne or refreshing Pink Elephant Rosé is more to your liking.
For people, like me, with large appetites and a taste for the good things in life, this brunch was definitely worth the price.
