What do Hong Kong actor Chow Yun-fat, local food blogger Dr Leslie Tay and I have in common?
We’re all fans of Wah Kee’s prawn noodles, loved for its rich and piquant broth.
Like the Michelin-Starred Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice, which recently announced its new air-conditioned outlet Hawker Chan, Wah Kee will also be going upscale.
Come December this year, it is slated to open a new restaurant at Esplanade Mall, where it will continue to serve its signature Prawn Noodles at just $6.
Diners can also expect to enjoy other dishes like fresh Boston lobster and Oyster Pancake.
For something a little more unusual, order the Blue Mussels in a Pot. Said to be a tribute to local flavours, these mussels are stir-fried with shallots, spring onions and ginger.
