Expect graffiti art, food stalls, live music and plenty of chilling out

Timbre+ opens on Apr 1.
Well-travelled foodies know that open air food halls and food truck zones are a common sight in places like Australia, New York and even Bangkok. Now, the local food scene is catching up.
Hot on the heels of PasarBella@Suntec is Timbre, Timbre Group’s latest food and beverage venture at one-north.
Opening Apr 1, the mammoth 24,000sqf food hall will be offering a diverse selection of restaurant-grade food and casual eats at affordable prices, enlivened by multi-dimensional entertainment experiences.
Expect high ceilings, colourful shipping containers and vintage Airstream travel trailers.
A total of 35 F&B partners are located at Timbre+. Out of these, 14 are restaurants and outfits helmed by chef-owners and F&B entrepreneurs, and two stalls are run by new-generation hawkers.
The rest are traditional mom-and-pop hawker stalls, most of them retained from the old food centre with a couple of new ones. Timbre will also operate a self-service bottle shop serving boutique and less mainstream beers.
Here are 10 stalls you should make a beeline for, once the gastropark opens.
1. Big Bern’s American Grill
Helmed by chef-owner Bernie Utchenik, the grill serves genuine American comfort foods with southern Louisiana accents.
2. Chit Chaat Chai
Owned by Gayatri Restaurants, the Indian street-food snacks bar entwines traditional flavours from North India with a contemporary atmosphere.
3. Fishball Story
A stall by chef-owner Douglas Ng, a new-generation hawker known for his handmade fishballs made with 100% fish meat.
4. Food Anatomy
Food meets art in colourful, layered dishes ranging from appetisers to desserts.
Singapore’s first modSin (modern Singaporean) outlet serving charcoal-grilled skewers and rice bowls.
6. Teppei Daidokoro
The latest yakitori concept of chef Teppei Yamashita, serving up intensely flavoured charcoal-grilled Japanese skewers.
7. Iskina Cebu Singapore
A Cebuanese brand that aims to promote Cebuanese food culture and dining experience through their signature lechon (Filipino roasted suckling pig);
8. The World Is Flat by Tanuki Raw
A new-to-market concept that will put a unique culinary twist on pizzas and sandwiches.
9. Portico Platos
A new small-plates experience with signature paella cooked on the spot.
Have a taste of nostalgia with their 1970s fried chicken, made with a 40-year-old secret recipe.
Adding to the experiential experience at Timbre+ are programmes happening year-round, such as pop-up markets, chef collaborations, BBQ cook-offs and mini-festivals. Many of these events will be held within the gastropark as well as on the secondary outdoor area, which is adaptable for a variety of events.
