Celebrate SG60 With These Limited-Edition Local Delights

As Singapore approaches its 60th birthday, the island is buzzing with a renewed sense of national pride. What better way to celebrate than through our shared love for food?

This year, an exciting array of limited-edition treats and culinary collaborations are hitting the scene, offering a delicious tribute to Singapore’s rich gastronomic heritage. Prepare to embark on a flavour journey that blends nostalgia with innovative twists, all in honour of SG60!

1. Nesuto’s SG60 Pandan Gâteau Basque

To celebrate Singapore’s 60th birthday, Nesuto presents a limited-edition creation as festive as the occasion. Available from 1 to 10 August 2025, the SG60 Pandan Gâteau Basque (S$60) is a classic French dessert reimagined with local flavours: buttery crust, luscious pandan custard, a hint of rose, and vibrant raspberry preserve—all in one golden, celebratory cake that serves up to ten.

Crafted in partnership with The Cream of Europe campaign by CNIEL and the European Union, this cross-cultural gâteau blends the richness of French dairy with the familiar warmth of pandan and nostalgic notes of Bandung. The result? A beautifully layered, aromatic masterpiece perfect for any SG60 gathering.

Only available for a week, order now and savour the fusion.

2. Sakanoue x Drips Bakery Reinvent Local Icons for SG60

Famed Tokyo kakigōri specialist Sakanoue and local favourite Drips Bakery Café have joined forces in honour of SG60, curating a dazzling line-up of artisanal viennoiseries and a show-stopping shaved ice, each inspired by classic Singaporean flavours.

Available from 30 July to 30 September 2025 at Drips’ Tiong Bahru flagship, the collection is a proper homage to shared cultural memories. It features inventive delights such as the Aburi Corn Kakigōri, a blissful marriage of smoky soy-glazed corn, luscious mascarpone, and secret layers of mirin jelly, capturing the spirit of both Japanese summer festivals and Singaporean pasar malam snacks.

The pastry counter is transformed into a treasure trove of familiar-yet-unexpected marvels: think Ang Ku Kueh Danish with tender mochi and zesty lemon, Kueh Salat Tart stained blue with butterfly pea, or a clever Ondeh Ondeh Danish packed with aromatic coconut and gula melaka. There’s even a spicy Chilli Crab Danish and otah-laden crostini for those who crave the savoury spectrum.

Drips Bakery offers an irresistible 60% off all viennoiseries on 9 August 2025, limited to six per customer with any purchase to mark the nation’s birthday. This offer invites everyone to taste Singapore’s heritage, one playful bite at a time.

Drips Bakery Cafe x Sakanoue Cafe is located at 82 Tiong Poh Road #01-05, Singapore 160082.
