Once again, it’s the time of the year when revered gourmet figures and ardent foodies (with $595 to spare for a seat) gather for one night of glitz, glamour and culinary honour.
The inaugural Michelin Guide Singapore 2016, held at Resorts World Sentosa, presented stars to 29 eateries including two hawker stalls — Hill Street Tai Hwa Pork Noodle and Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle.
Assessed by widely travelled inspectors who dine anonymously, the culinary bible bestows its stars rating based on five publicly acknowledge assessment criteria: Quality of the products, mastery of flavour and cooking techniques, chef personality, value for money and consistency of visits.
With this year’s Michelin Bib Gourmand list inducting nine new entrants, here’s expecting a lot more from the award ceremony cum gala dinner, taking place at the Fullerton Hotel.
Who will clinch the coveted stars? Stay tuned for our live updates!
