Open Farm Community is the perfect escapade from city life — and we mean that in the best way possible.

Tucked away on Dempsey Hill, the urban amalgamation of restaurant, outdoor farm and boutique cafe has garnered quite a name for itself thanks to its unusual concept.

The lush greenery creates an idyllic setting where diners can get up close with the origins of their food, allowing them to glimpse into a world of farm-fresh dining.

In fact, fresh ingredients used in OFC's dishes are up to 90 per cent sourced from farms in and around Singapore, including their very own agricultural landscape.

Their refreshed menu speaks for itself, with punchy flavours and impeccable freshness.

Here are our top five picks:

2. Tempura Jurong frog legs, $26

Its humourous name stems from the fact that these frogs are bred on a farm in Jurong.

There’s nothing not to like about this comforting dish of root vegetable curry, paired with tender frog legs frittered in tempura batter.

That said, those who’re used to spicy curries might find this rather mild tasting, much like Japanese-style curry.
