These star-studded restaurants display culinary prowess and true creativity
On 29 June, Michelin Guide Singapore bestowed 38 restaurants with its coveted stars, up from last year’s 29 awardees.
While previously awarded Forest and Terra didn’t retain their stars, 11 new entrants now take their spots in the dazzling tier, clinching one Michelin star each.
Waku Ghin was bumped up to join the two-stars category, a well-deserving honour according to industry insiders.
As with last year, Joël Robuchon Restaurant at Resorts World Sentosa retains three stars and is the only F&B establishment in Singapore with that accolade.
Compared to the fanfare of 2016’s inaugural affair, this year’s award ceremony felt a little lacklustre in comparison, considering neither new hawker stalls nor three-Michelin-starred worthy entrants were inducted to the prestigious list.
With that saying, the newly-minted restaurants still dazzle in their own right.
