With the spotlight shining on local cuisine and the illustrious heritage that comes with it, the gastronomic fiesta will see to returning favourites such as personality Moses Lim-led hawker tours and the 50 Cents Festival, alongside other new and exciting culinary ventures including an eight hands dinner by the likes of Folklore's Chef Damian D'Silva  and Labyrinth's Han Li Guang (just to name two),  and  boozy beer yoga sessions.

Here are some of the highlights to look out for when Singapore Food Festival comes around:

Large-scale soirees are set to launch during the SFF’s conviviality. Starting with the returning signature outdoor event STREAT, taking place 13 and 14 July at Empress Lawn. The two-day event is set to showcase the mouthwatering delights of local entities such as Old Bibik Peranakan Kitchen, Sinar Pagi Nasi Padang and Non Entrée Desserts; and for the first time, there’ll be a dedicated bar, led by Asia’s 50 Best Bar champion Manhattan bar for a night of imbibing.

The highly-successful 50 Cents Fest will also make its return. This year, the festival, known for its 50cents- and one dollar-snacks, spotlights the 1930s – an era of British soldiers and puffing opium addicts, so expect local delights such as Kerabu Bee Hoon (tossed rice vermicelli), Fish Moilee (lightly spiced creamy fish curry dish) and Kopi Gu You (butter caramelised black coffee) for indulging! There’ll also be street entertainment acts such as Taxi Girl performances and traditional opera, plus a one-of-a-kind virtual reality installation for you to feel like what it’s like to be in 1930s.
