The end of a long and arduous work week is best met with chilled beer, hearty bar snacks and jolly company.

You'll be able to find all of that and more at Tomo Izakaya, a Japanese-style gastropub loved for its convivial ambient and authentic cuisine.

Now, there's even more reason to pay a visit — Chef Hirotaka Murata has launched three new ramen dishes to whet appetites.

And mark our words, there're not your usual offerings. There's one with green noodles and another with broth made from a two-generation-old recipe!

2. Shake-tantan men, $12

Don’t be alarmed by the bright red chili oils in the broth, this one’s a delightful mixture of salmon bone and specially blended miso with salmon minced meat. Inside, you’ll find al dente ribbons of tantan mian, soaking up the intensely flavoured broth.
