Late night hunger pangs are always easily satisfied here in Singapore

While staying up late or going to bed on a full stomach are usually frowned upon, there is no denying that the supper culture in Singapore is well and truly alive. And aside from just stuffing yourself with late night goodies, suppertime is also a recreational activity that involves getting together with your bffs to catch up over a hot meal. In our list, we considerately left out the predictable places such as Spize, Al-Azhar, Swee Choon and Chomp Chomp Food Centre, and included in other lesser-known eateries that you can rely on as your  go-to supper spot.

5. Springleaf Prata

Residents of the Springleaf and Thong Soon community have been blessed to have Springleaf Parata just a stone’s throw away from their residence. While it is a challenge to find a good prata (crispy skin, fluffy inside_ Springleaf delivers since its pratas are made only upon every order. They are never left to sit on the tray to turn stale before being served. That being said, each carbo disc is made with sufficient dough, leaving diners pleasantly satisfied. The plain ones are so good ($1.20 each), you could even have it on its own without dipping it into curry. But why would you do that when they serve authentic, aromatic chicken and fish curry to complement the  shining, golden and crisp prata? Worth trying are the special pratas, such as you cannot miss out on the Plaster Prata ($3) that has been said to be even better than the legendary Plaster Blaster ($5.50) – prata with eggs benedict.
