The folks of OH! Open House, which organises annual art walks through trending neighbourhoods like Tiong Bahru, Joo Chiat and Potong Pasir, is back with a strangely beautiful installation from 13-22 Jan.

The Bizarre Honour is a maze-like museum of curiosities, stocked with 300 items dating from the 1800s to the 1960s. The collection spans rare colonial photos, animal traps, live specimens and taxidermy. However, unlike in any ordinary museum, these exhibits won’t have signs, labels or explanations.

All you’ll have is a personal companion comprising memos, photographs and other classified information pertaining to the exhibits. It’s an immersive encounter that blurs the line between art and artefact, and wonder and unknowing.

Each 30-minute appointment will only allow two individuals into the museum, and they will each walk away with a hand-assembled document that was specially commissioned for this event.

The Bizarre Honour is part of the Singapore Art Week 2017.

The Bizarre Honour will run from 13-22 Jan. More information here.
