DJ Duo Tritonal will fly back to the US in the middle of their Asian tour to take part in a charity run
The upcoming Asian Tour for Texan DJ duo Tritonal won’t be any ordinary tour.
The pair, comprising Chad Cisneros and Dave Reed, will be bringing their chart toppers to Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, The Philippines and Korea – and running in a 5km marathon right smack in the middle of it.
After their show in Manila, Philippines on Sep 4, they will jet back to Iowa, United States, to participate in the 2015 Glow Stick 5K run. Then, they will set off to Seoul, Korea on Sep 5 for their last Asia tour stop.
Marathon for a hero
The Glow Stick 5K run was created in 2012 to raise medical treatment funds for US Navy Seal Taylor Morris, who lost all four limbs during his deployment to Afghanistan.
Since then, the run has become an annual affair. In 2013, Morris and his fiancée decided to “pay it forward”, donating that year’s proceeds to another beneficiary. This year’s recipient will be chosen via online voting a week before the race (Sep 4).
“The guy is hands down a real hero,” said Chad, one half of Tritonal. “We heard about the run and being running fanatics, we wanted to join in and help raise as much money as possible.”
A Zouk affair
For fan who want to catch the duo’s spinning skills in action, Tritonal will be playing at Zouk on Aug 28. Expect to hear hits like “Untouchable” and “Piercing the Quiet” as well as their chart-topping remixes for artistes like Hardwell, Zedd and Adam Lambert.
Tritonal will perform in Singapore on Aug 28 at Zouk Club.
