Singapore Cable Car and Hello Kitty’s Grand 50th Anniversary Finale

Celebrate the magic of friendship with Singapore Cable Car and Hello Kitty as they celebrate a joint 50th anniversary one last time!

Since its opening in 1974, the Singapore Cable Car has become a beloved icon of Singapore. This special collaboration with Hello Kitty celebrates the Singapore Cable Car’s 50th anniversary and coincides with Sanrio’s creation of Hello Kitty in 1974.

From 1 November to 31 December 2024, fans of Hello Kitty and visitors of hilltop will get the chance to embark on a whimsical journey aboard those adorable Hello Kitty Themed Cable Cars. They are available in five unique designs with each featuring adorable Hello Kitty motifs, from colourful flowers and butterflies to playful pinwheels and buntings. The overarching theme of these Hello Kitty Themed Cable Cars is garden, as inspired by the lush greenery of Mount Faber Peak.

This unique experience is only available in Southeast Asia. To add to the family-friendly atmosphere, Hello Kitty will be accompanied by her family—Dear Daniel, Mimmy, and their parents.

As guests make their way up Mount Faber Peak, they will be greeted by a magnificent golden Hello Kitty sculpture. It is to commemorate the Golden Jubilee. Another Hello Kitty stands await as they approach the boarding deck. This time, it is a new 2-metre-tall Hello Kitty figure. Dressed in her iconic red bow and blue overalls, standing alongside the vintage cable car cabins. These 1st and 3rd generation cable car cabins are also transformed to feature Hello Kitty and Dear Daniel. Offering a nostalgic ride through the sky. Apart from these, there are also designated photo spots. The spots overlook the hilltop, where you can capture beautiful memories with loved ones.

Singapore Cable Car tickets are available at counters and online. A round-trip journey on both the Mount Faber Line and Sentosa Line costs S$35 for adults. Children aged 4 to 12 are S$25 (Children aged 3 and under ride for free). If you would like to explore all five unique Hello Kitty-themed cable car cabins, you can opt for the S$10 upgrade for an unlimited ride pass.
