1. Bukit Timah Nature Reserve (BTNR)

Towering at 163m, Bukit Timah Hill is Singapore’s highest nature landmark and the closest the nation has to a ‘mountain’. Nonetheless, with its diverse biodiversity and being one of the few places remaining in Singapore to still have areas of primary rainforests, it is the closest you can get to untouched nature. After a two-year revamp that concluded in 2016, trails in BTNR boast a non-slip, erosion-resistant surface that makes a safer and easier trek. Wooden boardwalks have also been installed so visitors will be able to access treks without harming the surrounding flora and fauna.

Trails:

Kampong Trail (Easy) – A lesser known trek that takes you to the Murnane Reservoir

Summit Trail via Kruing and Simpang Hut (Easy)

Summit Trail via South View and Catchment Hut (Moderate)

Hindhede Nature Park Trail – To view the Hindhede Quarry (Easy)

Dairy Farm Loop via North View Hut (Difficult)

Bukit Timah Nature Reserve

177 Hindhede Drive, Singapore 589333
