Now that we got that out of the way, Nokia has released a slew of new phones at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 in Barcelona, which many deemed as the Finnish brand’s efforts to be relevant in this unforgiving realm of tech. While most of its new phones are powered by Android, Nokia stands out from the pack by bringing back something old with the Nokia 8110 – a retro classic that will certainly tug the heartstrings of some. The nostalgia factor truly serves as a leg up for Nokia, as compared to pioneering smartphone brands such as Samsung and Apple, which have almost zero connection to users of a particular age.
So here are four of Nokia’s new phones you should consider making your next smartphone:
Nokia 8 Sirocco
Declared to be the most beautiful smartphone to date by its makers, the Nokia 8 Sirocco sees both an upgrade in terms of aesthetics and mobile software. For starters, the smartphone is as gorgeous as it is durable with 95% of the body’s composition made up of gorilla glass, curving at the edges that hides the usual antenna lines. Provided a solid grip of diamond-polished stainless steel frame, the phone is lightweight and almost wafer-like thin.
Built with a 5.5-inch display screen, the phone now boasts a dual-camera system at the rear with a 12-megapixel primary camera and ZEISS optics, while the front-facing five-megapixel camera offers a wide-angle lens. There’s even a ‘bothie’ mode that allows to take a photo using both the front and rear cameras simultaneously.

Available from early April, the Nokia 8 Sirocco will retail for a global average retail price of 749 Euros (SGD$1215).
