At least once in your life, you have to catch this magical transformation at Horsetail Falls in Yosemite Park, USA
Within the grand Yosemite National Park in California, USA, one waterfall has captivated countless visitors.
The water in Horsetail Falls cascades from a height of approximately 500ft (about 152m). What sets it apart from other waterfalls is a glowing orange streak that blazes through it. From afar, this bright strip resembles glowing lava.
This ‘lava’ is actually a trick of the sunlight falling on the water, creating the illusion of a ‘fire-fall’.
However, do note that this isn’t an evergreen attraction. Water only flows here at Horsetail Falls from middle to late-February. The bright streak appears most fiery during dusk, at around 5.30pm.
This stunning natural attraction can be reached by driving East on I-84 from Portland to the Bridal Veil Exit, then driving 9km on the Historic Highway to Horsetail Falls.
