A night of culinary recognition and counting (Michelin) stars
In 1926, Michelin Guide first began awarding stars to fine dining establishments, as a recognition of their quality and excellence.
Fast forward today, the award ceremony of the guide is said to be the Academy Awards or even the Oscars of the culinary world.
Tonight, Singapore will welcome its inaugural edition of Michelin Guide 2016, following the recent announcement of Bib Gourmand Awards, where 14 restaurants, 17 hawkers and three street food stalls made the cut.
The award ceremony cum gala dinner will be held at Resorts World Sentosa, where French celebrity chef Joel Robuchon, together with local chefs, will present a wine-pairing dinner.
