Long Chim At MBS Now Serving Weekend Brunch

Chef David Thompson’s Thai street food restaurant, Long Chim, launches weekend brunch menu at $60++ per person

Long Chim, meaning “come and taste” in Thai, is a Thai street food serving concept by celebrity chef David Thompson. Known for his expertise in Thai cuisine, the Australian chef has earned a Michelin star for his restaurant, Nahm, in London — the first Thai restaurant to ever gain the award.

With Long Chim, Thompson moves away from fine dining to serve local favourites you would find in various regions in Thailand. However, it is hard to “come and taste” the entirety of Long Chim’s extensive menu as there are at least 50 dishes to choose from.

Flavours of Bangkok

Every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 4pm, diners can try a variety if Thai street dishes at Long Chim's brunch.

Some of the dishes include the restaurant's signature Green Curry of Kampong Chicken with Thai Eggplants and Grilled Tilapia in Salt Crust.

Some of our favourites from our previous visit are also on the brunch menu. This includes the Grilled Eggplant Salad with Steamed Egg and the ultra spicy Pork with Rice Cakes.

Since the dishes are meant to be shared family style, you are guaranteed a long, leisurely brunch filled with laughter and stories. You will also have a choice of one of the restaurant's Thai-inspired cocktails like the Sriracha-Spiced Thai Bloody Mary or the refreshing Mandarin Mimosa. For a non-alcoholic option, have the aromatic Thai Iced Tea instead.
