Read My Lips: Gucci Makeup Is Finally Coming To Singapore!

After the unassuming quiet harmony of Alessandro Michele’s vision first seen on the runway over four years ago, it had built crescendo to a rhythmic roar. The shift disrupted the House’s narrative in fashion and Gucci has now turned its attention to makeup, with its very first makeup line.
The makeup line has a 58-piece lipstick collection, featuring three different formulations – Rouge à Lèvres Satin with a satin finish, Rouge à Lèvres Voile with a sheer finish, and Baume à Lèvres, a lip balm with a translucent finish. 1.Rouge à Lèvres Satin
Creamy and intense in colour, the formula delivers a perfect and long-lasting satin finish, that leaves your lips smooth and soft. The lightweight texture will give you a very comfortable sensation. The other 36 shades sweep from nudes – such as ‘Penny Beige’ a Hazlenut Beige to reds including ‘Odalie Red’ a vivid red, to pinks including ‘Vantine Fuchsia’, a rich fuchsia shade, with nuances of orange and purple and an unexpected black hue, ‘Crystal Black’.
Finally, What is the Star colour of this collection?
The Collection’s Colour Star is none other than their 25* Goldie Red. Chosen by Alessandro Michele himself, because of his admiration for the red. The emblematic red shade is formulated in satin and sheer finishes. The shade recalls the red lipstick, the Creative Director saw on the lips of the self-assured women when he was a child in the 80s. The shade is also inspired by a legendary Hollywood character, Goldie. The starred 25, which also appears on the label is a reference to the Creative Director’s lucky number.
Alessandro Michele feels that makeup should not mask but rather exalt flaws and make them part of the language of beauty. Defects should be evidenced and but not hidden away. And with this, everyone should be able to wear the makeup how they want to, whether they want to reveal their true self, allowing them to be themselves, or as a means to transform, allowing them to be who they want to be.
There is an accompanying campaign film, shot by Chris Simmonds, which shows close-ups of models and lips that look not perfect but bold, bright and beautiful！
The Gucci lipstick collection will be available at Takashimaya Department Store Beauty Hall from 12 September 2019 at $53.00.
