As part of the #happyplatesg campaign to minimise food waste at home, celebrated chef Eric Low will be hosting free cooking demonstrations every Sunday until Nov 22 at Tangs Orchard.

In addition, dine in at The Providore at Tangs and take a picture of your empty plate for a chance to win a hands-on cooking session at The Providore.

Don’t forget to also post a picture of your empty plate online and hashtag #happyplatesg. For every three hashtags, Electrolux will donate a food bundle through The Food Bank Singapore to help a family in need.

Switch up your weekend plans with dinner and drinks at Tiger’s Milk, Singapore’s first Peruvian rooftop bar and grill.

Enjoy signature items such as Tiger’s Milk Trio of the Para Picar (small plates), where shots of seabass and octopus are served in three different variations of spiciness; Amarilla, Ricoto and Nikkei. For gutsy diners, be sure to try the Peru street delicacy, Lamb Heart, which is marinated in harissa paste and red wine vinegar, then served with salsa criolla.

Finally, end your night with a classic Peruvian cocktail like the refreshing and tangy Pisco Sour.

Warm your heart and belly at Joyden Treasures, the newest addition to F&B Group Joyden Concepts’ stable of eateries featuring classic Chinese dishes.

Must-tries include the comforting Joyden’s Double Boiled Seafood Soup in Old Cucumber which impressed with its wholesome flavours and surprise wonton parcel at the bottom.

The Original Steamed Red Grouper in Homemade Soy
Bean Broth, steamed in a made-from-scratch soya milk broth, was also a stellar creation.

2. Watch the epic return of Singapore’s #1 musical

Beauty World has seen multiple stagings since its debut in 1988, but this time, it’s back with a difference. The story follows a small-town girl from Batu Pahat who sets out on a quest to find her father in Singapore. She winds up in a dubious cabaret, where she learns some heartbreaking truths about love and life.

One highlight to look out for is actress Jeanette Aw, who has forgone her usual good-girl roles to portray the beautiful but vindictive cabaret queen, Lulu.
