Each time March rolls around, the annual St Patrick's Day makes the case for colourful festivities, Irish cuisine and celebratory drinking.

To get in the heat of the action, don't miss out on the St Patrick's Day Street Festival, which will be held from 17 to 19 Mar along Circular Road.

Famed for its cluster of bars, the iconic street will be transformed into a pedestrian-only zone for the weekend.

Here are three festival highlights:

3. Three music stages

Considering music is an integral part of Irish culture, the festival has dedicated three stages to different musical acts on 18 and 19 Mar.

Visitors can soak in the festivities at the Traditional Stage, which features Irish dance performances and time-honoured Irish folk songs played with classic Irish instruments such as the Uilleann pipes, hammered Dulcimer, banjo and fiddle.

The Rock stage highlights Irish rock and folk-rock music acts including local and Singapore-based Irish musicians such as: Babushka, Gan Ainm — Singapore’s original Irish band, The Craic Horse (Celtic folk-rock-punk-funk) and more.

Finally, there’ll also be a DJ booth for those looking to dance the night away.
