Tanjong Pagar Food Centre's foodie treasures lay tucked away on level 2

The Weekender team took our lunch break all the way down to Tanjong Pagar this week for #HawkerTreasures. Popular amongst the working crowd in the area and the residents alike, we ventured to find the 7 dishes that you should try when you pop by here for lunch.

3. Laksa ($3), Ah Seng Laksa and Prawn Mee

Now I’m pretty loyal to Katong Laksa when it comes to this Singaporean staple, and Ah Seng’s Laksa would probably rank 3rd or 4th for me. For $3, you get a pretty hearty bowl of noodles and soup, along with a few slices of taupok and fish cake. My colleagues loved that the spicy coconut soup wasn’t too thick, and didn’t leave them feeling gelak afterwards. As for me, I don’t think I’m converting anytime soon though.
