With the excitement of Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, fans may be wondering where the iconic scenes were filmed - and whether you can actually visit them.

According to travel search engine Skyscanner, travellers are in fact expressing growing interest in visiting the larger-than-life filming locations of the popular Star Wars films. Since the release of the global trailer in April, there has been an increase in searches compared to the same time last year.

Here are four destinations in particular that have piqued the interest of travellers.

4. United Kingdom: Scarif

When the trailer for Rogue One was released, Internet sleuths got down to work and cracked one secret hiding in a chase scene: It was filmed in London’s Canary Wharf Tube Station. It was later revealed that this very scene took place on Scarif.

In line with this reveal, Skyscanner registered a 53 per cent increase in search interest for the UK since last year. The best month to travel here is March.
