Celebrate Non-Stop at Taipei’s Exciting Festivals

Taipei stages a dizzying mix of activities throughout the year, whether it is the Taipei Lantern Festival, the romantic and colorful Yangmingshan Flower Festival, the youthful riverside concert (Taipei Valentine’s Day) , or the high-energy New Year’s Eve party; there is rarely any downtime. Celebrations and events one after another means that you will always find excitement at any time of the year!

As New Year’s Eve arrives, don’t miss the fireworks show at Taipei 101, the most eagerly anticipated of all the year’s events. Stay in a hotel near the Xinyi District, and you can enjoy an evening of wining and dining against a sky of dazzling fireworks. If you are game, why just watch when you can directly participate in the New Year’s Eve celebration? Take to the streets amongst the locals in your finery and ring in the new year together.

2023 also marks the return of the “Taiwan Lantern Festival in Taipei” (February 5th to February 19th, 2023), after 23 years! With a theme of “Light Source Taipei”, it brings together art, culture and technology to create an “urban lantern festival” that makes up the breathing heart of the city. The Lantern Festival passes the East District, Sun Yat-Sen Memorial Hall, Songyan Cultural and Creative Park to Taipei 101 Building, etc., with more than 300 works parade between cities and high-rise buildings.
